Editorial principle
Product transparency.
FreeCut is developed by the same team that writes this website. To keep that from becoming a conflict of interest, one simple rule applies here: this website only claims what the public App Store listing of the current version documents. This page explains the method once, centrally — instead of repeating the same disclaimer on every subpage.
The review method
- • The sole reference is the public App Store page of FreeCut 1.3 (released 2026-06-25).
- • Every product page was last editorially reviewed against that listing on 2026-07-20; the date is shown on the pages.
- • Features in local development are never marketed before they ship in a published version.
- • Screenshots on this website are real captures of the running app; we only crop off the iOS status bar and never alter the picture content (version and device are stated in the caption).
- • Prices are stated (€3.99/month, €39.99/year for Pro) — the Apple purchase sheet for your region is authoritative.
What FreeCut 1.3 does not include
These items are not part of the publicly documented version — this website neither sells them nor presents them as features:
- AI credits
- Lifetime purchase
- Template packs
- Effect packs
- Automatic captions or speech-to-text
- Smart Cut or automatic silence removal
- Object or subject tracking
- Automatic background blur
- Automatic scene detection
- Automatic reframing
- Beat detection or beat-synchronised editing
- LUT workflows and LUT export
- Optical-flow speed ramps
- Downloadable FreeCut project templates
Why we work this way
Video editors are often marketed on future promises: features coming "soon", comparison tables without sources, verdicts without a test setup. We think the opposite approach ages better. When this website says FreeCut exports without a forced watermark, you can read that claim in the public App Store listing and verify it yourself after installing — the download page describes a concrete test procedure. If we find an error, or Apple's listing changes, we correct the affected pages and update the review date.
